Workforce Supervisor

Location: Margate, Kent

Type: Temporary (approx. 6 months)
Industry: Waste & Recycling
Salary: £33528.00 P/R (£17.42 p/h)

Hours per week: 37 hours per week.

Job Purpose: As the Workforce Supervisor, you will oversee and deliver exceptional front-line waste services. Your mission? To ensure a safe, clean, and inviting environment for residents and visitors alike!

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Leading the Charge: Supervise daily tasks, allocate staff and vehicles, and conduct debriefings to keep our operations running smoothly.
  • Safety First: Manage risk assessments, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure your team is equipped to thrive safely in their roles.
  • Quality Control: Monitor service requests, investigate incidents, and address community concerns to elevate standards and reduce complaints.
  • Team Development: Implement an effective training strategy and play a pivotal role in recruitment, ensuring our team members receive the support they need to excel.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with council policies while promoting a culture of cleanliness and sustainability.

What We're Looking For:

  • Knowledge: Understanding of health & safety requirements for a front-line manual workforce and familiarity with waste and cleansing materials.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Google Docs is a must!
  • Experience: Proven track record of supervising teams in cleansing services and managing customer interactions.
  • Qualifications: You hold a Train the Trainer qualification, a valid Driving License, and can boast experience in manual handling.

Desirable:

  • HGV License Class 2
  • CPC Certification
  • IOSH Qualification
