We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Workforce Planning Manager to join our Commercial Operational Excellence team. You’ll be responsible for promoting and managing workforce planning across our commercial operations, ensuring a consistent approach that balances the needs of our stakeholders, employees, and customers. Your expertise will play a crucial part in delivering an excellent customer experience at agreed service levels while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. If you are passionate about optimising workforce strategies to enhance service delivery, we’d love to hear from you!

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Bolton or Glasgow office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and inspire the planning team to meet service levels within budget.
  • Enhance team capability through Skills Matrix, training, coaching, and clear processes.
  • Establish strong governance and communication strategies for effective plan execution.
  • Identify and implement new tools to support Workforce Planning activities.
  • Ensure understanding of changes in resource models and future forecasts.
  • Promote continuous improvement through collaboration with our Operational Excellence team to support initiatives.
  • Provide data-driven insights for efficiency improvements and hold teams accountable.
  • Engage with stakeholders to assess performance and determine necessary Workforce Planning actions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven leadership, with a talent for capability assessment and identifying training opportunities.
  • Previous experience in Workforce Planning and tools across multiple departments, including Contact Centres; knowledge of Verint would be advantageous.
  • Using Microsoft Office, analyse data and present with confidence to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management with negotiation and influencing expertise.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills, adept at creating practical solutions while considering the overall vision.
  • Understanding of a regulatory environment and how this affects Commercial business.
  • Commercially aware of the impacts on our business goals, including market trends.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

What we offer:

At AXA UK, we’re appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that. You can expect to receive:

  • Life Assurance (up to 10 x annual salary)
