We have an exciting opportunity to join our Archive department as a Workflow Lead at our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

This is an office based position where you will work closely with the Archives team and provide support to the Archives Supervisor by communicating daily workflow issues and resolution. You will have direct contact with our clients in a revenue generating capacity and work to various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulations.

Duties Include:

  • Organizing meetings as appropriate with the team to discuss workflow and pending issues as well as prioritize any critical task

  • Directing and re-directing team members to accommodate volume changes and client deadlines

  • Helping manage and/or alerting management on non-routine issues

  • Providing guidance and best practices for Archives Services

  • Providing input on SOPs and other QDMS documents as needed

  • Covering for management and peers as needed in meetings, conference calls, on the bench etc.

  • Demonstrating flexibility by doing other duties assigned, such as assisting in writing SOPs or acting as a subject matter expert for the department

  • Assuming a leadership role in the supervisor’s absence to include but not limited to: a) Organizing assignments during the workday b) Acting as a support for both internal and external customers

Education:

  • BSc degree desirable however experience may be substituted for education

Skills / Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience either in the scientific industry or in an archives position

  • Ability to use software packages i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate where necessary

  • Pro-active, problem-solver with the ability to work in a team and independently using own initiative where appropriate

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • GxP knowledge and/or experience advantageous
