You’ll be responsible for translating commercial opportunities into viable solution designs and ensuring a smooth transition into delivery. This role is ideal for someone who can balance functional understanding with architectural thinking, and who thrives in a client-facing, consultative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the bridge between business development and delivery teams, supporting pre-sales efforts, solution design, and project estimation for Workday Financials.
- Lead and facilitate early-stage discovery workshops with clients to understand financial transformation needs.
- Define end-to-end Workday Financials architectures, covering modules such as Core Finance, Procurement, Projects, Expenses, and Reporting.
- Translate business goals into scalable solution designs, integration approaches, and delivery plans.
- Develop and validate solution documentation, high-level effort estimates, and delivery approaches as part of bids, RFPs, and proposals.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth hand-off from pre-sales into implementation, staying involved through initial project stages as the solution lead.
- Guide internal teams and clients on Workday best practices, innovation areas, and common pitfalls in finance transformations.
- Contribute to internal frameworks, accelerators, and solution templates to improve consistency and scale across future implementations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on Workday experience, with a primary focus on Workday Financials (2+ end-to-end implementations).
- Strong functional understanding of Workday modules such as Procurement, Projects, Supplier Accounts, Expenses, and Reporting.
- Proven track record supporting pre-sales or early-stage solutioning within a consulting or Workday partner environment.
- Strong communication and consulting skills - able to simplify complex financial and technical concepts for business stakeholders.
- Experience developing solution blueprints, architecture overviews, and integration strategy documents.
- Familiarity with Workday integration methods (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors) and data migration principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, finance leaders, solution consultants, and delivery teams.
Qualifications:
- Workday Financials Pro Certification or module-specific training.
- Experience in client-facing consultancy roles within Finance, Shared Services, or ERP transformations.
- Background in Finance or Accounting (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is highly advantageous.
- Exposure to Adaptive Planning, Prism Analytics, or integrations with SAP, Concur, ADP, or legacy ERP systems.
