Position Summary

The Workday Senior Solutions Architect at Light & Wonder (LNW) supports operations that enhance the core HCM, Security, and reporting functions of Workday in a global environment. The role involves collaborating with business leaders to develop tactical and strategic HR plans, working with internal IT and external providers on multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

The Workday Sr Solution Architect acts as a support and primary liaison to understand business needs, prioritize, and lead delivery teams. Engages with internal and external stakeholders to identify system improvements and keeps the business informed of updates. Interacts daily with platform teams, HRBP’s, COEs, networking teams, and vendors to perform job functionalities.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a system administrator for Workday Core HCM, Security, and Reporting, providing technical leadership.
  • Lead and participate in projects emphasizing knowledge sharing, openness, and transparency.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and functionalities related to Workday.
  • Define requirements and develop solutions collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Core HCM, Business Process configurations, Security, and Reporting.
  • Develop complex reports, support integrations, and perform testing.
  • Facilitate communication between business partners and project teams to meet long-term goals.
  • Support functional owners and end users by diagnosing and resolving system issues.
  • Research and address problems within HR platforms, analyze security issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Follow and promote strong Application Development Life Cycle (ADLC) practices.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to develop scalable solutions and improve HR processes.
  • Create and maintain functional design documentation.
  • Implement and oversee testing and user acceptance processes.
  • Coordinate reporting requirements across business units.
  • Deliver training and develop training materials as needed.
  • Ensure development efforts stay within budget and deadlines.


Additional Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related fields.
  • Current Workday Certification in Recruitment.
  • Experience in business systems analysis, solution design, and deployment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Functional Design, configuration, and core modules.
  • Understanding of system development lifecycle, data privacy laws, GDPR, and SOX compliance.
  • Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar tools is preferred.
