Job summary

Albida Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Workday Payroll Consultant to support UK & Ireland clients on payroll transformation, implementation and optimisation projects across UK&I.

You'll configure, test and deploy Workday Payroll solutions meeting statutory and business requirements. The role involves leading or supporting implementations, configuring pay components, managing integrations, advising on operating models, and providing post-go-live support.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and implementing Workday Payroll for UK & Ireland.
• Strong knowledge of UK PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, SPP and pension auto-enrolment.
• Experience with Irish PAYE, PRSI, USC and statutory reporting.
• Workday Payroll certification (UK and/or Ireland) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support Workday Payroll implementations for UK and Ireland, from design through go-live.
• Configure payroll processing frameworks, pay components, tax elements, and statutory deductions in line with UK & Ireland requirements.
• Manage integrations between Workday Payroll and third-party systems (e.g. banking, pensions, benefits providers).
• Conduct parallel runs, reconciliation, and payroll testing to validate accuracy pre-go-live.

You'll work directly with client stakeholders to configure, test, and deploy Workday Payroll solutions that meet statutory and business requirements across both jurisdictions. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead or support Workday Payroll implementations for UK and Ireland clients, from design through go-live* Configure payroll processing frameworks, pay components, tax elements, and statutory deductions in line with UK (HMRC) and Ireland (Revenue) requirements* Manage integrations between Workday Payroll and third-party systems (e.g. banking, pensions, benefits providers)* Conduct parallel runs, reconciliation, and payroll testing to validate accuracy pre-go-live* Advise clients on best-practice payroll operating models, control frameworks, and compliance requirements* Support year-end processing, statutory reporting, and audit requirements for both regions* Troubleshoot payroll issues and provide post-go-live hypercare support* Document configuration decisions, business processes, and training materials for client teams* Work closely with Albida's broader delivery team to ensure payroll workstreams align with wider HR and finance transformation goals **Required Experience** * Proven experience configuring and implementing Workday Payroll, specifically for UK and Ireland* Strong working knowledge of UK PAYE, NI, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), and pension auto-enrolment* Strong working knowledge of Irish PAYE, PRSI, USC, and statutory reporting requirements* Experience with Workday Payroll configuration tools: pay components, earnings/deductions, accumulations, and payroll processing frameworks* Experience managing payroll integrations and third-party interfaces* Background in consulting or client-facing delivery roles preferred* Workday Payroll certification (UK and/or Ireland) desirable **Skills & Attributes** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly under tight payroll deadlines* Clear communicator, comfortable presenting to senior client stakeholders* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and compliance* Collaborative, able to work across distributed project teams* Adaptable to shifting client priorities and multi-project environmentsIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
