Job summary

La Fosse Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to join a key transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract in London. Hybrid role with 2 days onsite per week. ASAP start.

You will have hands-on Workday HCM expertise, particularly in Talent and Recruiting, and work with HR stakeholders to translate requirements into effective Workday solutions across the project lifecycle. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as a Workday HCM Functional Consultant.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Talent and Recruiting.
• Good understanding of HR processes and the Workday HCM ecosystem.
• Experience across full project life cycle from requirements to testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise across Workday HCM with a focus on Talent and Recruiting.
• Collaborate with HR and stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday solutions.
• Support configuration, testing, implementation, and optimisation of Workday functionality.
• Lead or support workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
• Manage defects and change requests through resolution.
• Coordinate with technical and integration teams to meet business needs.
• Support UAT, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Produce clear functional documentation and governance reports.
• Advise on Workday best practices to improve HR processes.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to join a key transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will have strong functional experience across Workday HCM, with particular expertise in the Talent and Recruiting modules. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and other Workday specialists to support the successful delivery and optimisation of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise across Workday HCM, with a strong focus on Talent and Recruiting.
• Work with HR and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
• Support configuration, testing, implementation and ongoing enhancement of Workday functionality.
• Lead or support workshops, requirements gathering and process mapping.
• Manage functional issues, defects and change requests through to resolution.
• Work closely with technical and integration teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Support UAT, testing, deployment and post-go-live activities.
• Produce clear functional documentation and contribute to project governance and reporting.
• Provide advice on Workday best practice and opportunities to improve HR processes.

Essential Experience

• Strong commercial experience as a Workday HCM Functional Consultant.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Talent and Recruiting.
• Strong understanding of HR processes and the Workday HCM ecosystem.
• Experience working across the full project life cycle, from requirements through to implementation and testing.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within large-scale transformation or enterprise environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider project and technical teams.

Desirable

• Experience across additional Workday HCM modules.
• Experience with Workday integrations and working alongside technical/integration teams.
• Previous experience delivering Workday transformation or implementation projects.
• Workday certifications.
