Job summary

Planet Planet is seeking a hands-on Workday Analyst to support configuration, reporting, optimization, and ongoing improvement of the Workday platform. You will work with People Operations, Payroll, Reward, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to keep Workday stable, accurate, scalable, and user-friendly.

The role requires hands-on Workday configuration experience, strong reporting and data skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into clear, well-controlled system solutions.

• Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday functionality across Core HCM and related processes.

• Investigate and resolve Workday issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Support testing, release readiness, documentation, and change deployment.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve processes, data quality, user experience, and governance.

Role Overview

Planet is looking for a hands-on Workday Analyst to support the configuration, reporting, optimisation, and ongoing improvement of Planet’s Workday platform. The role will work closely with People Operations, Payroll, Reward, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure Workday is stable, accurate, scalable, and easy to use.

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday functionality across Core HCM and related People processes.
• Build and maintain reports, calculated fields, business processes, condition rules, and supporting configuration.
• Investigate and resolve Workday issues, identifying root causes and sustainable fixes.
• Support testing, release readiness, documentation, and change deployment.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve processes, data quality, user experience, and operational controls.

Ideal candidate

• Hands-on Workday configuration experience, ideally across Core HCM and one or more additional functional areas.
• Good understanding of Workday business processes, reporting, security, organisations, worker data, eligibility, and calculated fields.
• Strong Excel and data validation skills.
• Clear communicator who can work confidently with People, Payroll, Reward, IT, Finance, and support teams.
• Practical, detail-focused, and improvement-minded, with good judgement on governance, risk, and sustainable design.

Who you are The successful candidate will have practical Workday configuration experience, strong reporting and data skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into clear, well-controlled system solutions. Experience with Workday Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, and Reporting would be beneficial. Workday certification would be preferable.
