About the role

We are seeking an HRIS Analyst to join our people operations team, specializing in the Absence and Time Tracking modules of Workday. You will be part of a small central team balancing daily priorities with project work.

As the HRIS Analyst, you will be the point of contact for Absence and Time Tracking, ensuring effective system use by updating, configuring, improving, and providing expertise for the HR department and wider business groups.

You will also perform data analysis to ensure accurate recording of metrics, maintain information security, test updates, and improve process efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Workday HR System, be proficient in navigating different software, and demonstrate tenacity in solving system challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Translate and configure functional requirements to update the Absence and Time Tracking modules of Workday.
  • Act as an expert for Workday administration—HCM transactions, business process configuration, and design—advising HR, managers, and employees on proper system use.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues promptly.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance, data updates (EIBs), business processes, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Absence and Time Tracking data with other HR systems.
  • Assess requirements and perform impact assessments to support business process changes in Workday.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity within the modules.
  • Enhance user experience through simplified and automated processes.
  • Support training and engagement to maximize Workday utilization post go-live.
  • Develop and generate reports and dashboards for analytics-based decision making.
  • Assist in system maintenance, testing, and implementation of upgrades or patches.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Support HR projects and changes.
Impact and Contributions:
  • Address department and end-user needs, suggest system customizations and new applications.
  • Ensure Workday processes are documented and compliant.
  • Train end users on new or enhanced processes.
  • Research and resolve system problems and process flaws.
  • Recommend improvements and policy changes.
  • Lead in testing and implementing system upgrades for Absence and Time Tracking modules.
Experience and Attributes we’d like to see:
  • Minimum of 4 years as an HRIS analyst, with 2+ specializing in Workday's Absence and Time Tracking modules.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and compliance related to absence and time tracking.
  • Experience with requirement gathering, project management, and HRIS development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Workday reporting and analytics tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in data auditing.
  • Knowledge of GDPR standards.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
Nice to Have Experience:
  • Experience in other Workday modules like HCM, Recruitment, Compensation.
  • Workday Certifications or Pro certifications preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Project management qualification is desirable.
