The Workato integration Architect is a strategic role focused on guiding customers in designing and implementing automation solutions using Workato and potentially other market leading iPaaS solutions, particularly within large, complex organisations. VP are proud to have been recognised with Workato's SI Partner of the Year 2025, and Breakthrough Partner of the Year 2024 awards and are building the leading systems integration practice in Workato to serve EMEA customers, with MENA and APAC expansion on the horizon. This role involves defining integration strategies, establishing architectural patterns, and ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability of Workato-based integrations for VP\'s clients.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Virtuoso Partners work winning and consulting team (Group Revenue) by influencing the architecture alignment with Virtuoso Partners favoured technologies (Workato primarily) and automation approach
- Integrate with vendor communities, understand, influence and implement best practice frameworks and accelerators.
- Build deep knowledge of our favoured technologies including roadmaps, driving internal R&D efforts to ensure VP is front-footed as a leading partner
- Be able to accurately articulate views through demonstrating capability, being hands on and leading
- Effectively communicate at various levels of our clients (Developer, Solution Architect, CIO, CEO)
- Articulate solution capabilities and value proposition both in a customer specific context as well as a market context (conferences, seminars, etc.)
- Propose customer roadmaps/solution vision plans and corresponding value
- Work with our presales during discovery to identify customer priorities and pain points
- Engage with and support the technical delivery team in task delivery
- Leading the design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations and automations using Workato.
- Creating solution blueprints and reusable components (e.g., recipes, connectors) to accelerate automation projects.
- Establishing governance and lifecycle standards for Workato environments (e.g., folders, version control) and promoting best practices for recipe design, error handling, and platform optimization.
- Guiding partners and customers on Workato\'s point of view, providing technical oversight, and troubleshooting assistance.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams (business analysts, developers, stakeholders) to translate requirements into technical specifications and ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentoring Workato developers on best practices, conducting technical workshops, and participating in pre-sales activities.
- Supporting VP\'s Customer Success function in engagements to give perspective, advice and support continuous value and expansion from investment in iPaaS.
- Experience in working with Workato as a platform
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of iPaaS-led architecture and modern API-driven ecosystems
- Deep understanding of architectural patterns including Service Oriented Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture
- Proven experience in designing and implementing integrations and automations using iPaaS Solutions
- Familiarity with various integration technologies, including REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, event triggers, and SDK.
- Experience with enterprise architecture principles, including organizational, business, information, application, and technology architectures.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, guide teams, and influence stakeholders
- TOGAF certified or similar industry body recognition
