Job description

Our Work Placement team plays a vital role in ensuring students gain meaningful, career-enhancing experiences with industry partners. We work closely with employers to create opportunities that support learner development, progression, and employability, while strengthening the College's reputation across sectors.

We are seeking a proactive and organised Work Placement Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating high-quality work placements that align with learners' career aspirations and curriculum goals. This role involves engaging with employers, supporting students, and ensuring placements are safe, purposeful, and well-documented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage with employers to secure quality work placement opportunities.
  • Conduct health and safety checks and ensure compliance with placement standards.
  • Collaborate with learners and employers to set clear goals and expectations.
  • Monitor placement progress through regular reviews and feedback.
  • Support learners in maintaining accurate placement records and reflections.
  • Liaise with curriculum teams to ensure placements enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Health and Safety qualification or equivalent or be willing to work towards.
  • High level of IT Skills and experience.
  • Demonstrable evidence of providing an excellent level of customer service.
  • Ability to build relationships within the industry to forward our reputation.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with individuals at all levels including students, colleagues and the wider industry.
