An excellent opportunity has arisen for an individual to support the Partnership in expanding its career progression and placement services. Our Learning and Development team is looking to add a Work Experience & Placement Coordinator to their innovative team, focusing on creating opportunities and development for local communities, schools, and higher education institutions.

This is an apprenticeship role, with the successful candidate enrolled on an Employability Practitioner Apprenticeship.

Main duties of the job

This post will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the delivery of programmes and activities to meet apprenticeship and staff learning needs of the Partnership. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting information, advice, and guidance
  • Recruiting and inducting apprentices and supporting existing colleagues on apprenticeship programmes
  • Supporting procurement and growth of apprenticeship offerings
  • Promoting NHS apprenticeships in schools and colleges
  • Monitoring and reporting on apprenticeship activity
  • Providing educational support to apprentices and managers, escalating issues as needed
  • Supporting functional skills commissioning and management
  • Representing the Partnership at career and educational events

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Lead, the post holder will collaborate within the Learning and OD team and be part of the wider People and OD Directorate.

Qualifications/Registrations
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification (any subject)
  • Teaching or mentoring qualification, or extensive experience; GCSE Maths and English or equivalent at Grades A-C (or working towards)
  • Certificate in Advice and Guidance (RQF) Level 3 NVQ
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training Business Administration qualification (Level 3 or above)
Experience/Knowledge
  • Recent experience working with apprentices, providing advice and guidance
  • Experience coordinating education and development programmes for diverse professional groups
  • Experience working across organisational levels
  • Data management and reporting experience
  • Experience with the apprenticeship levy and Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS)
  • Experience facilitating remote sessions
Skills/Abilities
  • Strong communication skills to influence and build relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workload
  • High IT literacy (MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance
