New City College is seeking a proactive Work Experience and Employer Engagement Lead for Digital and IT to connect education with industry and secure high-quality placements for students. You will build partnerships with local, regional, and national employers, shape the work placement journeys, and embed industry experiences across the curriculum.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture strong relationships with employers to secure high-quality work experience placements and industry opportunities for students.
• Actively engage with businesses through networking, outreach, and partnership development to expand our employer network.
• Coordinate and oversee the full work experience programme, ensuring all placements are impactful, safe, and aligned with industry standards.
• Support and inspire students throughout their placement journey, helping them maximise their experience and achieve their career goals.
• Work closely with curriculum teams to embed meaningful employer engagement and industry experiences within the Digital and IT curriculum.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously enhance the effectiveness of work experience and employer engagement activities to ensure outstanding outcomes for students and employers alike.
• Champion industry collaboration, bringing employers into the college environment through projects, guest speakers, careers events, and mentoring opportunities.
