Qualifications

  • Experience of ploughing operations is essential.
  • Command experience on work boats is required.
  • Advanced powerboat CoC (commercial endorsed) is necessary.
  • Valid ENG 1 Medical certification must be held.
  • Maintenance experience of Navigational Aids is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and navigate the work boat as per regulations.
  • Supervise and manage the crew effectively.
  • Respond to emergencies and implement safety drills.
  • Coordinate with port authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee ploughing operations on-site.

Experience of ploughing operations

A vacancy has arisen for a dedicatedand reliablefull time Work Boat Master at PD Ports within the Marine Department.

Location: Marine Department, Vulcan Street, Middlesbrough, TS2 1LX

Working Arrangements: week on / week off

The five main things our Work Boat Masterwill be working on are:

  • Operation and navigation of the work boat in accordance with maritime laws and company procedures.
  • Supervision and management of crew.
  • Responding to emergencies and implementing safety drills and procedures.
  • Coordinating with Port authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Overseeing ploughing operations

We are seeking someone who has:

  • Experience of ploughing operations
  • Work Boat command experience
  • Has minimum advanced powerboat CoC (commercial endorsed)
  • Holds a valid ENG 1 Medical certification
  • Experience in maintenance and servicing of Navigational Aids would be desirable

This is not a live aboard position
