Coleg Gwent is recruiting a Work Based Assessor to support engineering apprentices in Newport and surrounding areas. The role requires ensuring learners complete the work-based element of their qualification and managing a caseload that varies with level and content.
Desirable Welsh language skills are welcome, and applications in Welsh are treated equally to English submissions. A DBS check and EWC registration are required, with a teaching qualification to be obtained if not already held.

37 hours per week
We are recruiting for a Work Based Assessor to join our team. You will ensure apprentices achieve the work-based element of their qualification (typically an NVQ at level 2, 3 or higher). You will also be responsible for an agreed number of candidates (the caseload will depend on the apprenticeship level, geographic location and qualification content).
The ability to use the Welsh language at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable.
