Job summary

Ripple Recruitment is seeking a WordPress Developer to join a design‑led agency in Basingstoke. You will build and maintain WordPress themes and plugins, translating wireframes into responsive websites within a hybrid work model.

Collaborate with designers and an experienced developer to deliver high‑performing websites, using PHP, JS, SCSS and TypeScript, while optimising databases and AWS/Linus configurations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience developing with WordPress, including theme and plugin development.
• Strong grasp of responsive web design principles and front-end frameworks.
• Confident using Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs for editing and debugging.
• Solid understanding of database interaction such as MySQL or SQL.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
• Familiarity with modern front-end tooling including SCSS and TypeScript.
• A proactive approach to solving problems and contributing ideas.

Responsibilities

Ripple Recruitment has partnered with a digital agency based in Basingstoke that is looking for a talented WordPress Developer to join their expanding development team.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, design‑led environment where your work will directly contribute to building high‑performing, visually compelling websites and web applications. You will work closely with designers and an experienced developer to bring digital concepts to life.

This is a hybrid position that requires around two days a week onsite, so candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance to Basingstoke and ideally have access to a car.

Key Responsibilities
