Wordings/Contracts Specialist

Our Global Wordings team has an exciting opportunity for an adaptable individual to join as a Wordings Specialist. You will be an integral part of the team and the wider Legal department, supporting the underwriting business across all product lines, covering a wide variety of complex risks. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate your technical drafting skills and advisory services to underwriters, clients, and brokers, providing a service differentiator for AXA XL.

Responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing – reviewing existing products, new products, and competitors’ offerings, including analysis and explanation of clauses and product wordings, focusing on delivering timely and commercial solutions.
2. Creating & Innovating – working with stakeholders to build new insurance products or refine existing ones, leading innovation for AXA XL.
3. Teamwork – collaborating across teams and departments to meet goals, service requirements, and projects.
4. Training and Development – sharing best practices, delivering presentations, and advising on wording solutions.
5. Supporting Underwriters – assisting in coverage analysis and providing clear wording solutions, highlighting emerging risks.
6. Governance and Contracts Certainty – ensuring contract clarity and compliance with standards and regulations.
7. Collaboration – maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to deliver high-quality service.

You will report to a Wordings Manager.
