Position Details:

  • Type: Temporary contract until November 2025, with immediate start (subject to compliance), lasting six months with potential extension.
  • Location: Woolwich, London
  • Salary: £14.75 per hour
  • Work Setting: 5 days in-office per week

Role Overview:

Administrative Officers support court/tribunal processes, handle inquiries, manage case files, and provide customer service to the public, Judiciary, and legal professionals. The role involves teamwork, process improvement, and occasional flexibility to work at other HMCTS offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing and managing court/tribunal documentation and files.
  2. Drafting correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
  3. Supporting court operations, including scheduling, contacting parties, and handling inquiries.
  4. Processing casework, verifying documents, and ensuring compliance with standards.
  5. Collecting, analyzing, and presenting information for reports and statistical purposes.
  6. Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service.
  7. Performing other duties as assigned to support court functions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 GCSEs (A*-C) or NVQ Level II in Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications.

Working Pattern: Full-time, 9am - 5pm, five days a week.
