Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Position Overview: Are you a skilled Timber Case Maker with a passion for woodworking and manufacturing?

Our client, a well-established woodworking company based in Irlam, Greater Manchester, is seeking a number of dedicated individuals to join their team.

This is a permanent, full-time position providing you with stability and career growth in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Timber Case Maker, you will play a pivotal role in our production process. Your duties will include:

1. Assembling wood using air staplers.
2. Using hand tools to pre-assemble components.
3. Operating a panel saw and various woodworking machinery.
4. Assembly of wood using screws and staples.
5. Working on a fast-paced production line/Bench.
6. Using a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets.
7. Using overhead cranes to aid in the manufacture and packing process.
8. Be prepared for physical work, including standing for extended periods and repeatedly lifting pallets.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

1. Essential experience working with air tools and sanders within a manufacturing environment.
2. Previous production experience, with a preference for those who have worked with wood products.
3. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and productive work environment.
4. Access to your own transport is preferable due to the location.
5. Safety shoes are required, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including dust masks, hearing protection, and safety glasses, will be provided.
6. You will receive a comprehensive risk assessment and induction on your first day of the assignment to ensure your safety and understanding of our processes.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday: 08.00-16.00
Friday: 08.00-15.30 (+ Overtime)
