Wood Machinist/CNC Programmer

Job Purpose
My client who manufactures for the joinery industry is recruiting for a wood machinist/CNC programmer.

Main Duties: Job Specific Tasks

1. Working to set procedures and tolerances.
2. Operating machines to a high rate of efficiency to produce quality machined parts.
3. Maintain continuity among colleagues by documenting, reporting and communicating on actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
4. To undertake training and operate a range of CNC machinery.
5. Providing cover for the shift leading hand when required.
6. To perform tasks throughout the cleats department area including: packing, operation of the cleat saws and operation of the lathe.
7. Follow a production plan to ensure parts are made on time for delivery.
