People Solutions have an exciting opportunity to join our client who is a well-established company in Wigan, looking for Wood Machinists.

You need to be motivated and driven and have the desire to learn new skills.

Day to Day Duties

• Cutting of raw materials to specifications.
• Using machinery and tools and ensuring that all products meet the required specifications
• Using maths skills to follow specification sheets
• Setting up and operating machinery
• Keeping records and maintaining equipment
• Adept with use of power tools (saw, bench saw, multi-rip saw)
• Maintaining health and safety guidelines
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Advanced attention to detail
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Previous experience using hand and power tools
• Experience as working as a machine operator is required, ideally working with wood

Training

• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
