Job summary

SAN Global Fashion seeks a Womenswear Designer to create innovative, trend-led collections from concept to final product for a UK and international client base. You will translate trends into commercial ranges, collaborate with design, sales, merchandising and production, and manage critical paths from initial mood boards to final CADs and tech packs.

Strong knowledge of fabrics, prints, colour and garment construction is essential.

Qualifications

BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion Design or related discipline.
Ideally 3+ years’ experience within womenswear design.
Strong portfolio showing trend-aware, commercial collections.
Excellent knowledge of the UK womenswear market and retailers.
Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop with CAD/technical drawing skills.

Responsibilities

Create commercial, trend-led womenswear collections from concept to final design.
Research and interpret current and emerging trends, catwalk influences, retail activity and customer insights.
Understand customer handwriting, target market, price point and adapt design direction accordingly.
Build cohesive ranges with attention to colour, print, silhouette, fabric and styling.
Produce CADs, technical drawings, and design information for production teams.
Collaborate with sourcing/production to select fabrics, trims, washes and finishes.
