Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established ladieswear supplier, renowned for delivering trend-led collections to leading, volume, UK High Street retailers.

They are now seeking a Womenswear Soft Wovens Designer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic role for a creative and commercially aware designer with strong experience in soft wovens, dresses, blouses.

You would be part of a small tight knit dynamic team and work closely with their sourcing office in Bangladesh.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Buyers through regular meetings and daily communication, building strong, collaborative relationships
• Present seasonal ranges tailored to individual customer needs
• Conduct fabric sourcing to bring fresh, relevant options to collections
• Plan cohesive ranges using market research, catwalk analysis, and trend forecasting
• Create comprehensive and accurate tech packs for development teams
• Undertake directional and comparative shopping, providing insight reports to inform design
• Bring forward innovative designs that set the brand apart from competitors
• Develop and source new trims and fabrics in line with seasonal concepts
• Produce precise CAD drawings for sample development

Person Specification:

• Strong background in designing across womenswear soft wovens
• Previous experience designing for UK High Street retailers
• Skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with Buyers
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and other design software
