You'll work closely with internal and external teams, present your ideas to buyers, and travel for customer appointments. Ideal candidates will have design experience and be proficient in Adobe Illustrator. The role offers a salary of £37,000 - £38,000 per annum with a hybrid working model.

Overview

We're looking for a talented Womenswear Jersey Designer to join a highly successful fashion manufacturer, working with leading retailers across the UK. Based in London, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring your creativity and commercial awareness together to design fashion-forward womenswear jersey multiproduct collections.

You'll play a key role in turning trend inspiration into ranges that stand out in-store, collaborating with Designers, Account Managers, Buyers, and Technical teams to deliver exciting, innovative product.

Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, and design across womenswear jersey multiproduct, identifying key seasonal shapes, fabrics, and details.
  • Present trend research and design ideas directly to Buyers with confidence.
  • Source new fabrics, trimmings, and techniques to keep collections fresh and relevant.
  • Travel to customer appointments in the UK and abroad to present and develop ranges.
  • Work with the Technical team on weekly fit sessions, contributing to new block development and silhouettes.
  • Build strong relationships with factories, advising on direction, construction, key details, fabrics, and artworks.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to deliver on deadlines and critical paths.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a womenswear jersey designer working in a similar environment, with a strong understanding of fabrications and garment construction.
  • A creative eye for trends, with the ability to translate them into commercial, wearable product.
  • Confident using Adobe Illustrator and CAD to bring ideas to life.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
