Manage and develop the Flamingo Cricket Club Women's Team

* This is a part-time role with a clear pathway to becoming a full-time founding team member with an equity stake in the business *

Flamingo Cricket Club is an ambitious new venture with plans to develop overseas training facilities, and establish a vibrant cricket community. We're building from the ground up with a strong focus on creating opportunities and fostering talent, particularly within the women's game.

This is a unique opportunity to join the founding team of FCC and be the driving force behind establishing and growing our women's team. As the Women's Team Lead, you won't just be managing a team; you'll be shaping its identity, culture, and success from day one.

What you'll do:

  • Recruiting, engaging, and supporting players to build a competitive and thriving team environment.
  • Organising and coordinating team logistics, including training schedules and match day arrangements.
  • Managing the team and ensuring smooth operations during fixtures held across the south of England, typically on Fridays between mid-June and mid-August.
  • Champion the women's team by enhancing its visibility and profile, and by leveraging opportunities like livestreamed matches.
  • Contribute to the wider development and strategy of Flamingo Cricket Club.

What you'll bring:

  • Genuine passion for cricket and a strong commitment to developing women's sport.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with players, club members, and the wider cricket community.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach, ready to embrace the challenges and rewards of a startup environment.
  • A recognised sports coaching qualification.
  • Experience in sports marketing, promotion, or event management.

If you’re passionate about cricket and building teams, we encourage you to apply.
