Job summary

Newcastle United Women is seeking a knowledgeable Assistant Performance Analyst to join the Performance Analysis team. You will deliver elite-level analysis for the First Team and Academy, supporting pre-match, live and post-match work.

Working with the Head of Analysis, you will create player reports and video content, build databases, and contribute to opposition analysis and tactical insights in a high-performance football environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of football playing styles, player traits and positional profiles.
• Experience in a performance-driven football or sporting environment.
• Ability to interpret numerical performance data and translate into insights.
• Proficient with video and data visualisation tools (Power BI or Tableau) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality pre-match, live and post-match analysis for Newcastle United Women.
• Create individual player analysis, reports, video clips and presentations.
• Build and maintain player video, statistical and performance-analysis databases.
• Lead analysis support for the Academy Under-16s and support the wider Professional Game Academy.
• Support the First Team analysis provision as required.
• Deliver opposition analysis and data collection to identify strengths, weaknesses and trends.
• Support set-piece analysis and other targeted areas of performance.
• Film Academy training sessions when required.
• Conduct background research on squads and develop analysis templates and visual content.
• Attend opposition matches to support scouting and analysis of upcoming opponents.
