Job Description:

Are you passionate about building a high performing team to support clients experiencing homelessness?

Church walk is part of Hackney Pathway providing 24 hour supported accommodation to 31 single homeless women aged 22 – 65yrs with High support and trauma. This position will provide you with the opportunity to manage a specialised and committed team within a female only setting.

In this role you will:

  • Have overall responsibility for both the development and the day-to-day running of the service.
  • Managing, leading, motivating and developing a staff team consisting of 1 Deputy Manager ,1 Senior Project worker, 4 Project workers, 2 Night concierges and a cleaner.
  • Manage the service shift rota.
  • Ensure the service meets contract and best practice requirements
  • Maintaining and building on the network of relationships with other statutory and voluntary agencies, and the local community.
  • Reviewing and developing working practices to ensure they are in line with St Mungo’s policies and procedures, and that the best possible service is provided to St Mungo’s clients.
  • Ensure that residents receive high-quality support, care and advice to clients that is focused on their strengths and goals and delivered in a way that suits them and within a framework of active engagement, positive risk taking and person-centered planning.
  • Monitor and give feedback on the service’s income and expenditure in line with service budgets.
  • Interrogate quantitative and qualitative data and produce high quality reports for a variety of audiences including commissioners.

About you

We are looking for a committed & inspiring Service manager with Hostel/ Service management experience with a can-do attitude and interest in continued service improvement.

You should be an excellent communicator and problem-solver, as well as demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence & resilience in relation to the support of the staff team and high need female only client group.
