A leading defense company is hosting an apprenticeship insight experience designed for individuals interested in engineering careers. This hybrid program runs from 12 January to 6 February 2026 across various UK locations, allowing participants to interview for Level 3 Advanced Technical apprenticeships with potential roles as Engineers. Applicants must be 18+, meet GCSE requirements, and travel costs are the responsibility of participants.

Qualifications

  • Open to applicants over 18.
  • Must be on track to achieve qualifications by August 2026.
  • Valid photographic ID required for on-site sessions.

This apprenticeship insight experience introduces BAE Systems, engineering and our early careers programmes. It is a hybrid event delivered over four sessions, with two online and two on-site at various locations across the UK.

Program Details
  • Hybrid delivery: two online sessions and two on-site sessions.
  • Dates: Monday 12 January 2026 to Friday 6 February 2026 (exact dates confirmed prior to start).
  • Locations: various UK sites; participants must be able to travel to the site for which they have applied.
Eligibility & Application
  • Open to applicants over 18.
  • Must be on track to achieve the required qualifications by August 2026.
  • Valid photographic ID (passport, driving licence) required for on-site sessions.
  • Travel costs for participants are fully responsible.
  • Applications close 10 November 2025 (may close earlier).
Qualification Requirements
  • England: 5 GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) including Maths, English & Science or Technical Subject.
  • Scotland: 4 National 5s Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths, English, Science & Technical (excluding application of Maths), plus 3 Highers at Grade C or above in English, Maths & Science or technical subject (excluding application of Maths).
Outcome

Participants will interview for one of our Level 3 Advanced Technical apprenticeships and could be offered a full-time position such as a Designer, Metrology, Electrical, or Electronics Engineer.
