Purpose of the Role

Inspire Development Academy (IDA) is a values-driven football academy dedicated to the development of its athletes. As a Women’s IDA Academy Coach, you will play a pivotal role in the development of young female football talent while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and dedication to our mission.

Scope of Duties
Coaching and Player Development:

You will work closely with the coaching team to enhance the learning environment for female footballers. Your responsibilities will include planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality football sessions in alignment with IDA’s player development programme and club philosophy.

Match Day Leadership:

You will take a lead role on match days, ensuring that all fixtures are conducted with a professional, development-focused approach.

Player Experience and Engagement:

You will ensure that players have an enjoyable, meaningful, and educational experience at IDA. By fostering an environment where players feel encouraged to ask questions, seek feedback, and actively engage in their learning and development, you will help them progress both on and off the pitch.

Individual Development Plans (IDPs):

You will guide individual players in their development by creating and monitoring tailored IDPs. This will include conducting player reviews and ensuring regular feedback sessions, a minimum of three per season.

Communication and Transparency:

You will ensure that players and their families are kept well-informed regarding the purpose and outcomes of training sessions, match strategies, and individual progress.

Collaboration with Multi-Disciplinary Teams:

You will work closely with coaching staff, sports science professionals, and medical teams to provide players with comprehensive support for their development. This includes injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Player Welfare:

You will maintain a strong focus on the wellbeing and welfare of both players and staff, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  1. UEFA B Licence
  2. FA DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  3. FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football
  4. FA Safeguarding Children Certificate

Desirable Requirements:

  1. UEFA A Licence
  2. Understanding of Higher Education institutions
Knowledge and Skills

Proven ability to engage and inspire players, creating a positive, enjoyable, and productive learning environment.

A passionate commitment to making a difference in the development of young athletes.

Demonstrated curiosity and ambition to grow both personally and professionally.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other coaches and multi-disciplinary teams.

Personal Requirements

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Proven leadership skills and experience in managing and motivating a team.
