Job summary

AO is seeking a WMS Project Manager in Bolton to lead complex warehouse and logistics projects, ensuring technology delivers real value across operations. You will own multiple WMS initiatives, manage scope, timelines and budgets, coordinate with process owners, solution architects and IT, and drive governance and change management to deliver measurable improvements.

Experience with D365 WMS and integrations, strong stakeholder engagement, and familiarity with Agile or Waterfall delivery will

Qualifications

Proven experience delivering technical logistics, supply chain and/or fulfilment projects end-to-end.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes and workflows.
Ability to translate operational needs into structured WMS requirements.
Experience in fast-paced, retail-focused environments.
Experience in strategic transformation programmes.
Skilled at managing third-party implementers, suppliers and offshore teams.
Confident stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
Proactive governance, RAID management and communication abilities.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
D365 WMS expertise: design, configuration, deployment, mobile device flows, wave templates, location directives, packing & shipping, inventory management.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver multiple WMS projects, keeping scope, timelines, budgets and quality on track.
Manage dependencies across D365 modules and external systems, aligning deliverables with business goals.
Challenge requirements to enforce standardisation, facilitate cross-team communication, and support change management.
Establish governance standards for scope, RAID management and decision-making.
Provide clear documentation and transparent reporting aligned with PMO standards.
