Job summary

Penguin Random House is seeking an experienced Development Architect for our Frating, Colchester site. The role focuses on design, development, implementation and ongoing support of Blue Yonder WMS within a distribution context.

You will mentor teams and contribute to architecture decisions across the warehouse and distribution landscape. You will engage in upgrades, data integration, and reporting, ensuring system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and supporting Blue Yonder WMS in large distribution environments.
• Strong MOCA and SQL development within Blue Yonder ecosystem.
• Hands-on with Blue Yonder Integrator including design and configuration.
• Knowledge of Blue Yonder Page Builder for actions, lists and batch processing.
• Good understanding of database architecture using Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting.
• Experience with SFTP, APIs, web services and message-based interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and deploy Blue Yonder WMS customisations and integrations.
• Code quality, documentation, and solution design.
• Perform enhancements, upgrades, and system configuration within MOCA architecture.
• Design and implement WMS reports and data extracts using SQL.
• Unit test to ensure quality and performance.
• Assist in upgrades, patches and migrations with minimal disruption.
• Maintain technical docs and operational procedures.
• Provide second/third line support for WMS incidents and changes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure for reliability and performance.
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse automation and logistics processes.
