Wiring Technician

Our client, a global electronics manufacturing company, is recruiting for an enthusiastic and skilled Wiring Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for personal growth, as the company is expanding.

As a Wiring Technician, you will work independently to produce products and electronic assemblies, support and advise trainee and semi-skilled colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement. There is potential for career progression to Team Leader.

Primary Job Purpose:
  • Manufacture and test cable harness assemblies according to product certification procedures, customer orders, drawings, and company standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience in electrical wiring and assembly, preferably in MoD or Aerospace sectors.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring schedules, and schematics.
  • Capability to certify own work according to quality standards.
  • Maintain product certification through audits.
  • Versatile skill set applicable across various tasks.
  • Proficiency with tools, equipment, and measuring instruments for electrical wiring and cable assembly.
  • Meet manufacturing, inspection, and testing times.
  • Complete all associated paperwork accurately.
  • Maintain high workmanship and quality standards.
  • Comply with manufacturing procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvements.
  • Work independently and responsibly.
Qualifications, Skills, and Qualities:
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced assembly skills, strong soldering and crimping.
  • Experience with inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Team player with initiative.
  • Keen to learn and develop skills.
  • IPC 620 certification is desirable.
