This amazing permanent role for a Electronic Wiring Technician a is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading Formula 1 organisation.

This role will be 100% based on site in Brackley.

About the Role

As a Electronics Wiring Technician, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the production of high quality electrical and electronic components, harnesses, and assemblies, ensuring adherence to specified timelines and exacting standards. Utilizing Autosport and Aerospace connectors, MIL spec wiring, heat shrink moulded parts, and proficiently handling PCB assembly.
  • Servicing of on and off car assemblies including inspection and test.
  • Work collaboratively with electronic design and build departments.

To be successful you will have:

  • Harness experience is essential, with a strong knowledge of Raychem Systems 25 procedures, Mil spec, Autosport and Lemo connectors.
  • A good understanding of electrical assembly drawings.
  • IPC-A-610 or equivalent soldering qualification.
  • Be well organised and delivery focused, to meet on-time deadlines in a high pressure and time sensitive environment.
  • Have excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • A background in a racing environment would be advantageous.

You'll be working on harnesses that can be used for prototype engines and ECU's in live test cells or in a productions style environment so will be varied work.

This company is a leader in their field. The quality of their products is second to none, which probably explains why their staff are too! They produce some of the highest end products throughout a number of industries, including; Motorsport, F1, Automotive, Marine and Aerospace.

You'll be working for a business that is flying at the minute, production is going to double in the next couple of years and with this will bring plenty of progression / personal development opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fiber optic).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Conduct cable pulling, routing, and dressing in compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting, fault-finding, and repairs on cabling systems.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of cabling infrastructure.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other team members.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cable Technician in data centre or large-scale commercial projects.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, ANSI).
  • Ability to use cable testing and certification tools (Fluke, OTDR, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic and copper cabling installations.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and high-security environments.
  • Must be physically fit to work in confined spaces and lift heavy equipment.
