Job summary

DCS Recruitment currently seek an experienced data cabling engineer in Sheffield on behalf of a national structured cabling and electrical contractor.

Contract date: 27/07/2026. Duration: 8 weeks to start, with potential continuation on later projects following completion. Working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, you will upgrade wifi networks and extend CAT6 cabling within existing infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid ECS/Equivalent structured cabling/comms industry related card or CSCS.
• Hold a valid DBS certificate applied for within the last 2 years.
• Have their own PPE and hand tools including termination kit and SDS drill.
• Have their own ladders.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wifi network upgrades and add new wireless access points.
• Install and upgrade data cabling, predominantly CAT6, within existing infrastructure.
