Job summary

Econ Engineering Ltd is the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of winter maintenance vehicles. We are seeking a Vehicle Electrician to join our team to work on bespoke winter maintenance vehicles, performing auto electrical installations, modifications, and fault-finding.

Monday–Thursday 8.00am–5.00pm, Friday 8.00am–4.00pm, 39 hours per week, with a lunch break. You will diagnose issues, interpret schematics, and ensure safety standards are met while contributing to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle electrician, ideally within the commercial vehicle sector.
• Strong knowledge of 12V and 24V electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in vehicle chassis and bodies.
• Run wiring looms, install vehicle lighting, and terminate control looms.
• Diagnose electrical faults and ensure systems are fully operational.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and drawings to complete installations.
