Job summary

STS Aviation Services is seeking an experienced B1 Aircraft Mechanic to join our Manchester hangar for the winter maintenance programme. This contract role involves support for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on large commercial aircraft in a live environment.

Applicants must have at least three years of hands-on aircraft experience, UK work authorisation, and DBS clearance. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, capable of working to tight schedules, and proficient with aircraft

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years' aircraft experience performing repairs, overhaul and maintenance on large commercial aircraft.
Current authorisation to work in the United Kingdom with any employer.
DBS clearance or ability to obtain one.
Live aircraft mechanical experience and knowledge of aircraft systems.
Interpersonal, organisational and communication skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Maintenance, repair and overhaul of customer aircraft per scheduled/unscheduled needs.
Follow STS and customer processes, record maintenance and bookings accurately.
Ensure maintenance is performed safely, timely and to customer satisfaction.
Maintain safety and cleanliness; comply with Health & Safety and COSHH.
Adhere to minimum workplace safety standards and company policies.
