Bovey Castle has been awarded Large Hotel of the Year (2024) by Devon Tourism.

We offer minimum 40-hour per week employment contracts, but we understand that everyone’s needs are different. That’s why we’re happy to discuss part-time contracts to fit around your individual schedule.

What We Offer
  • Full-time (40 hours per week) or Part-time Contracts tailored to your lifestyle.
  • Overtime Pay – you’ll be paid for every hour worked beyond your contracted hours.

Whether you're seeking a full-time role or looking for part-time work that fits around other commitments, we have different options available.

As a Sommelier, you will oversee all aspects of the wine service in the restaurant and contribute to the development of the wine list for the resort.

This will include serving wine within the restaurant and bar service, managing stock levels, and helping develop our teams to recommend and sell wines to customers to enhance their dining experience and pair with their menu choices.

What you’ll need?
  • Previous experience within the hospitality sector or specifically with wines, ideally in a Sommelier or supplier role.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine passion for sharing your knowledge to enrich guest dining experiences.
  • A WSET Level 3 or 4 diploma or equivalent Sommelier qualification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided as you settle into your role.

  • Health plans covering dental, optical, alternative health care, plus 24-hour GP access.
  • Discounted stays, spa treatments, golf, and leisure access across EHC properties.
