Job summary

SDL Solutions Limited is seeking a seasoned Windows Platform Engineer to own the Windows stack embedded in advanced automated bioreactor systems used by scientists worldwide. This 12-month contract with potential extension focuses on Windows platform strategy, lifecycle management, deployment automation and hands-on troubleshooting across development, manufacturing and customer environments.

Qualifications

Strong Windows Enterprise/LTSC experience and Windows platform ownership.
Experience with Windows deployment, imaging, provisioning or endpoint management.
Proficient in PowerShell and automation tooling.
Excellent troubleshooting and technical investigation skills.
Experience with Windows-based products, automation or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Own the Windows platform, including OS, drivers, BIOS/firmware and software configuration.
Lead Windows lifecycle, patching, upgrades and vulnerability management.
Develop automated deployment and provisioning solutions using PowerShell and related technologies.
Manage hardware/software baselines and configuration traceability.
Investigate and resolve complex Windows, networking and device issues.
Collaborate with Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Quality teams.
