Job Description

As a Windows Engineer at IPsoft, you will be responsible for designing server infrastructure for Global Fortune 500 partners and clients. You will build and enhance Cognitive Solutions on top of IPsoft’s cutting-edge Autonomics Platform. You will work in a client-facing role, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows Server Infrastructure, and automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and remediate issues with Windows Server Infrastructure, including roles, features, and related applications, with a focus on automation of recurring issues.
• Work closely with clients to support their specific requirements with high attention to detail.
• Troubleshoot advanced issues related to Active Directory in complex, multi-site, and multi-domain environments.
• Manage Windows Server environments (2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2).
• Administer VMware vSphere infrastructure and manage guest machines using Windows-based tools like vSphere client and PowerCLI.
• Document standard operating procedures for troubleshooting.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline operations.
• Develop monitoring checks to ensure infrastructure stability.
• Investigate issues with enterprise communication and collaboration tools such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync (preferred).
• Manage backup solutions like NetBackup or Tivoli (preferred).
• Identify recurring issues and implement automated resolutions.
• Additional skills in maintaining virtualization solutions like Citrix are a plus.
• Experience managing infrastructure with 100+ machines (3-5 years preferred).
• Degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop systematic solutions.
• Team player attitude.

Additional Information

Shift hours are from 7 am to 7 pm on a 4-day rotation schedule. Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance, which requires living in the UK continuously for 5 years.
