Job summary

The People Pod is seeking an experienced Conservatory Installer / Window Fitter for a full-time PAYE role, covering West Boldon and surrounding areas. You will focus on conservatory roof removal and replacement, with strong installation skills essential and independence on site.

Offering up to £41,600 per year (£800 per week) plus overtime and bonuses, plus benefits such as pension, 28 days holiday, and company van with tools. This is a permanent, non-subcontracting position with guaranteed work.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and replacing conservatories and conservatory roofs.
• Window and door fitting experience (UPVC).
• NVQ Level 2 in Fenestration preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently on site and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Conservatory Installer or Window Fitter looking for long-term security, guaranteed work and excellent earning potential?

While window and door fitting experience is important, the core focus of this role is conservatory roof removal and replacement, so strong conservatory installation skills are essential.

We're recruiting for a well-established, nationwide window & door repair and replacement business that has proudly serviced Blue Chip insurance companies since 1986.

Due to continued growth and expansion in Southampton, we are looking for skilled UPVC Conservatory Installers / Window Fitters based in the area to join their team.

This is a permanent PAYE role, not subcontracting, not short-term, and not seasonal.

The Role

As a Conservatory Installer / Window Fitter, you will:

• Remove and replace conservatory roofs using hand and power tools (primary focus)
• Install and repair conservatories to insurance standards
• Fit windows, doors, and associated UPVC products where required
• Take accurate site measurements and carry out bespoke adjustments
• Complete repair and replacement works professionally and efficiently
• Clear site and maintain professional presentation
• Support and mentor assistant fitters
• Work independently while maintaining high safety standards

The Ideal Candidate

You will likely:

• Have strong experience installing and replacing conservatories and conservatory roofs
• Have window and door fitting experience (UPVC)
• Ideally hold NVQ Level 2 in Fenestration
• Be able to work independently and problem-solve on site
• Be health & safety conscious
• Hold a full UK driving licence
