Job description

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00

Main Function of the Position:
  • SWC is seeking a dedicated, experienced window cleaning operative to perform window cleaning tasks involving various access methods such as BMU, MEWP (training provided), Water-Fed Poles, and Traditional techniques.
  • Carry out scheduled work assigned by the supervisor or line manager in a timely and safe manner.
  • Utilize specialized equipment (provided by the company) and techniques to effectively remove dirt, stains, and allergens.
  • Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks according to established schedules and client requests.
  • Respond to specialized cleaning requests as directed by management or clients, adapting techniques and equipment as necessary.
  • Be available for emergency callouts, responding promptly to urgent cleaning needs at various locations.
  • Comply with all company and client policies, statutory regulations, and health and safety standards, including hygiene, fire safety, and COSHH.
  • Identify and report health and safety hazards, such as blocked or locked fire doors, following client and company guidelines.
  • Report customer complaints or compliments and take remedial action if possible. Immediately report incidents such as accidents, fire, theft, loss, or damage to the line manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience in window cleaning, preferably at heights and on high buildings.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-sufficient and motivated, while also working well as part of a team and following instructions.
  • Working hours typically from 6 am to 2 pm, with some variation depending on the site and client needs.
  • Availability for some weekends and out-of-hours work, which will be pre-planned and considered overtime.
  • Professional attitude.
