Winding Technician

Luton

£25,000 - £26,000 per annum + Training and Development + Company Benefits + Every other Friday off

Do you have experience in production/assembly, hands on role? Are you looking for dedicated training development and progression within a well-established company within the aircraft sector?

On offer is an excellent opportunity for a Technician to join a multibillion turnover aircraft company, to have dedicated training & development and career options with an industry leading EASA 145 facility

You will work in a specialist team where you will be responsible for the winding of production and repair aviation components for power generation equipment

Ideally you will be located in a commutable distance to Luton Airport and have experience within a Winder role. Applicants from production/assembly hands on roles are still encouraged to apply as training will be provided.

The Role:

  • Winding of stators, rotors, field coils and armatures using specialized enamel coated copper wire, a variety of hand tools and test equipment, solvent degreasing of components using ultrasonic cleaning equipment, brazing of connections using resistance & flame welding equipment.
  • Electrical testing using resistance and high voltage test equipment.
  • Undertake dimensional checks using verniers, height gauges, micrometres and check gauges.
  • Dedicated Training & Technical Development
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30, 3:30 Finish on Friday (option to have every other Friday off)

The Person:

  • Assembly, hands on, manufacturing/production background
  • High degree of dexterity and attention to detail
  • Previously working within aviation/aerospace industry desirable but not essential
