Job description

Electrical Wind Turbine Technicians

£33.25p/h days, £37.25p/h nights PAYE

Rolling 12-month contract

SOV 14 days on, 14 days off

Mob/Demob port based in North Eastern England with travel costs covered

We are actively seeking experienced electrical technicians to join a leading provider and trainer of skilled personnel for wind energy companies to work on a significant offshore wind farm project.

Start dates are flexible, ranging from now to the coming months. The contract is for 12 months, with the project expected to last several years.

Applications are invited from committed technicians eager to advance their careers within the wind industry and attain the status of Authorised Technician on our client's platforms.

The successful candidates will be involved in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced electrical systems, focusing on both Low Voltage and High Voltage.

Requirements:
  • Previous electrical experience in the wind industry (preferably commissioning, authorised person, HV specialist, etc.)
  • Formal electrical qualifications (NVQ, C&G, etc.)
  • GWO BST, BTT, ART, EFA & HUET certifications
  • Right to work in the UK
Benefits:
  • All training, accommodation, PPE, and travel costs covered.
  • Two-week introductory course at the port, Monday to Friday, 9-5, to familiarize with the turbines and systems. Paid at £26.50p/h.
  • Dedicated back-office support team located 5 miles from the site.
  • Manufacturer-specific training to progress to authorised technician status, including pathways to High-Voltage and Supervisor roles. In-person training paid at £20p/h.
