Job summary

Red Bull Racing & Technology is seeking an engineer to run the wind tunnel and ensure the wind tunnel test programme is carried out safely, efficiently, and on time. You will provide first-line support and maintain the wind tunnel plant and equipment, working a four-on/four-off 12-hour shift pattern including nights.

You should be technically minded with a strong engineering background and good IT skills, able to communicate effectively under pressure.

Job description

In this role you will be responsible for running the wind tunnel and ensuring the wind tunnel test programme is carried out in a safe, efficient and timely manner, providing first line support should issues occur and maintaining/servicing all of the plant and equipment that is used to run the wind tunnel, working on a four on/four off shift pattern (12-hour shifts) including nights on a rotation basis.

This demanding but rewarding role is key to delivering high-quality results to our Aerodynamicists in their quest to deliver more world championships. Providing operational and first-line support of the state-of-the-art wind tunnel and its associated systems, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for the smooth technical operation of the facility.

To be successful in this role, you will be technically minded, with a strong background in engineering and good IT skills, as well as being able to communicate effectively to a variety of people and the ability to work under considerable pressure.
Previous experience in a similar role is ideal but as the role is so varied we are open to graduates looking to make their first step into Formula 1.
