Job summary

Statkraft in Thurso is seeking an experienced Wind Farm Technician to join our Operations team. You will be hands-on, carrying out maintenance and fault-finding on wind turbine generators and Balance of Plant equipment while ensuring safety and reliability.

Working with the Site Manager and Lead Technician, you will help meet contractual targets, support multi-brand WTGs, and uphold high safety and quality standards. UK travel and relocation within reasonable distance to Thurso may be required.

Qualifications

• Flexible working hours, including participation in an on-call rota.
• Provide secondary support to the on-call Technician when required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Willingness to travel at short notice as business needs dictate.
• Ability to interpret wind turbine electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Competent in high-voltage operations as part of BoP activities.
• Enthusiastic about learning and adopting new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, safety-first working environment.
• Support the Site Manager and Lead Technician in delivering operational requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on WTGs and BoP equipment.
• Ensure contractual and customer service obligations are met.
• Use maintenance systems and reporting tools to support performance.
• Provide hands-on technical support for multi-brand wind turbines and power delivery systems.
• Promote health and safety culture and stop-work authority when needed.
• Attend required training programmes and maintain competencies.
