Job summary

SSE Enterprise is seeking an Electrical Asset Integrity Engineer to protect and optimise the wind farm's electrical infrastructure. You will lead asset integrity projects, develop maintenance strategies and deliver rapid fault response while coordinating with operations and external partners.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern with base locations including Lowestoft, Perth, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Montrose or Inverness, and a salary range of £51,600–£77,400 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven electrical engineering experience within an operational environment.
• Experience delivering complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Practical knowledge of asset management frameworks and maintenance strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical asset integrity projects across the asset lifecycle to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Develop and deliver long-term asset management and integrity strategies including maintenance plans and obsolescence mitigation.
• Provide expert technical support, rapid fault response, root cause investigations and sustainable solutions.
• Manage engineering projects from planning through delivery including budgeting, governance and compliance.
• Collaborate with operations, OEMs, contractors and technical specialists to drive continuous improvement and mentor junior engineers.
