Rullion, in partnership with a UK Leader in Renewables, is seeking a Wind Engineer for remote work, with monthly office visits. The role demands strong capabilities in wind measurement, evaluation of suppliers, and managing contracts within the renewable energy sector. Ideal candidates will have relevant engineering degrees and significant experience in UK wind projects.

Qualifications

  • Chartered membership of an appropriate body is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in UK onshore/offshore Wind projects is REQUIRED.

Role Overview

The Wind Engineer will deliver Wind Measurement and Analysis services within the Engineering Team, CTO, and broader business, demonstrating the ability to add value to opportunities in a highly competitive and evolving marketplace while maintaining appropriate Engineering and Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of RFQ for met mast installation/decommissioning tenders
  2. Evaluation of tender documents from suppliers to select preferred supplier
  3. Liaising with met mast suppliers
  4. Organising and performing site surveys
  5. Managing TSA and contracts with suppliers
  6. Gathering information and documents for planning applications of met masts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering, scientific, physics, or mathematical discipline. Chartered membership of an appropriate body is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in UK onshore/offshore Wind projects is REQUIRED.
  • Experience with Wind Assessment Software (Windographer, Windfarmer, OpenWind, or other fluid dynamics modelling software) and ArcGIS is a plus.
