Job summary

Jackson Lees Group is seeking a solicitor with experience in wills, trusts and probate to manage a varied client caseload in a hybrid working arrangement. You will advise on probate, will drafting, tax planning and estate administration while delivering high quality client care.

The role requires strong organisational skills, professional communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced legal team.

Job description

Overall Purpose:

Deliver a professional, responsive, high quality service to our clients ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the Firm and by regulatory bodies. To always act as an ambassador for the Firm, actively promoting its services.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage a varied client caseload of Wills, Trusts and Probates
• To be able to Network regularly to gain new Clients
• To perform any other duties as requested by colleagues, team leader or management staff.
• Advise on aspects of probate, will drafting, tax planning and estate administration and including powers of attorney
• Deal directly with clients, their families, and carers along with other third parties such as medical experts and case managers
• It is expected that you deliver high quality and sympathetic client care, build a good rapport with existing clients, and attract new clients.
• To ensure that the firm’s policies and procedures and those laid out by regulatory bodies such as the Solicitors Regulation Authority are always complied with fully.
• To contribute towards the effective management of risk by carrying out regular risk assessments on all matters, efficient file management and by providing excellent client care.

Key Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience handling Wills, Trusts and Probate matters as a qualified lawyer/solicitor (ideally 2+ Years PQE).
• Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision.
• Experience of working to financial and chargeable hour targets.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident communicator with a professional and empathetic client manner.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced legal environment.
• Proactive, with the ability to use initiative and sound judgement.
• Competent use of IT and case management systems.
• A strong commitment to client care, compliance and professional standards.
