Job overview

An excellent opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed, and adaptable individual interested in working in Pharmacy Aseptics.

The successful applicant will join a busy team working within our licensed aseptic unit at Singleton Hospital, providing high-quality services to our Health Board patients. The aseptic unit prepares a wide range of injectable medicines, including cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapies, parenteral nutrition, and clinical trial medicines.

Main duties of the job

The role includes cleaning, monitoring and maintaining equipment and facilities, managing stock of medicines and consumables, assembling batches and orders, and the aseptic preparation and dispensing of medicines.

Previous pharmacy experience is recommended. Applicants will be expected to undergo training and achieve NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services following appointment.

Experience

  • Previous relevant experience in a pharmacy, healthcare manufacturing, laboratory, or scientific environment.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to adhere to a full range of local pharmacy codes and procedures.

  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent
