We currently looking for an experienced Wide Format Print and Finishing Technician to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

This role is ideal for a print professional with a solid background in operating wide format and flatbed UV printers, coupled with strong finishing capabilities. You will take pride in producing work of the highest quality, thrive under pressure, and bring both precision and efficiency to everything you do.

  • Operate and maintain wide format and flatbed UV printers, including HP Roll-to-Roll and Canon Flatbed UV systems.
  • Perform precision finishing work using Zünd cutting/creasing, Summa vinyl cutting, laminating, and flatbed application (pneumatic).
  • Ensure colour consistency and exceptional print quality across all jobs.
  • Set up, calibrate, and clean machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
  • Inspect files for print-readiness and flag potential production issues before printing.
  • Keep accurate records of jobs and materials and maintain stock levels of print media and finishing supplies.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, keeping the production area clean and organised.
  • Work with the production team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process efficiencies and quality enhancements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in wide format printing and finishing, preferably in a commercial print environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of print production processes, file preparation, and colour management.
  • Ability to interpret and work from detailed job sheets and artwork specifications.
  • Familiarity with RIP software and digital print workflows (e.g. Caldera, Onyx, or similar).
  • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach to technical challenges.
  • Capable of working independently and managing time effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling materials and operating finishing machinery safely.
